This summer we are proposing to complete a "Summer Reading Passport" with six stickers. The challenge consists of six different readings during the summer: one classic book, one fantasy book, one adventure book, one comic book, one non-fiction book and finally one free book.
The readers have rights. Please, don't force them to read or what to read.
They can read books in the languages that they would prefer, but they should complete the activity in English, French or Arabic.
They could select what to read (the lists that are below are merely suggestions). Don't buy books on purpose for this activity, if you don't want.
They can re-read a book.
What happened if they lose the passport? The activity would continue anyway: you can download the passport here, or if you can't print it, the students can write the dates, title, author and the opinion in a notebook, and they will be able to complete the passport in September.
The students, that will complete the Summer Reading Passport, in September they will receive a "Library Credit Card" with the next extra credits for each completed passport:
Five extra books to check out.
Five times with the priority to select where to sit in our library.
Five free access passes to come to the library during the breaks.
Remind these are only suggestions.
